Kwan’s bill, the Protection of the Homeless Act, would amend the B.C. Human Rights Code to include the term “social condition” as prohibited grounds for discrimination.

VANCOUVER – The New Democrats are calling on Gordon Campbell to reverse a decision that will eliminate a key service for Vancouver sex trade workers effective tomorrow.
WISH Drop-In Centre’s co-operated mobile access van, which has provided essential outreach services to sex trade workers since 2004, will no longer be in service tomorrow if the government doesn’t provide immediate funding.
VICTORIA – Facing tough questions from New Democrat MLAs in the legislature today, the Campbell government refused to back down on the legal roadblocks stalling the Frank Paul inquiry.
