NDP to Introduce Motion Calling on Child and Youth Committee to Speak Out Against Cut to Representative's Budget

VICTORIA – The Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth must speak out against the Finance Committee’s decision to cut the budget put forward by Child and Youth Representative Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond by $750,000, New Democrat Critic for Children and Family Development Nicholas Simons is saying. Simons has written to committee chair Ron Cantelon informing him of the New Democrats’ intention to introduce a motion to that effect at tomorrow’s meeting.
