VICTORIA – Documents obtained through a Freedom of Information request show the Campbell government’s Public Affairs Bureau instructed ministry officials to cancel the release of damaging welfare caseload stats during the spring election campaign, New Democrat leader Carole James said today.

More Action Needed to Address Rapidly Failing Economy, says James

NDP Leader Carole James receives 2008 Aboriginal Women in Leadership Distinction Award

On Oct. 9, New Democrat Leader Carole James received the 2008 Aboriginal Women in Leadership Distinction Award.

Chief Kim Baird of the Tsawwassen First Nation is the other recipient of this year’s awards.

The awards were presented at the 9th Annual National Aboriginal Women in Leadership Training Conference in Richmond.
