Taking a Stand

The proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway could impact all British Columbians. A significant spill off the north coast could impact the environment and the economy of the entire coast. The New Democrat opposition have joined with the majority of British Columbians in saying that that risk is too high.

B.C.'s New Democrats have filed a submission with the National Energy Board raising concerns about the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline. Chief among the concerns is that while B.C. stands to accrue few benefits, it will bear most of the environmental, economic and cultural risk.
